Grateful. One word that is so open to interpretation.
Every November, we’re reminded to take a step back and take a moment to appreciate everything we are grateful for. Probably like you, I am grateful every day of the year. But, it’s humbling to be reminded and given the chance to look back on the year with family and friends.
I got this beanie at the outlets on our way to Palm Springs for my birthday weekend with my sisters & mom (I couldn’t find it anywhere to link, but it’s from LOFT. I’ve linked similar options below), which brings me to the first thing I’m most thankful for… my sisters. Moreover, my family. I couldn’t imagine doing life without them. I’ve probably said this a million or more times, but I have always been so thankful to have such a tightly knit family. One that is filled with amazing people and unforgettable memories. When my papa passed unexpectedly this year, it hit me and my family hard. Every day I think about him. But, it has taught me that this life is fleeting and you never know what is around the corner. Those cliché sayings about hugging your family a little tighter every day? Yep, pretty true. Just like there is truth in every lie… there is truth in ever cliché.
How perfect is this sweater? It’s actually a juniors but fits perfectly as adult, I didn’t have to size up. This shirt is literally perfect for thanksgiving. Not only does it read grateful, but who doesn’t want to fill up on turkey & mashed potatoes wearing a soft and cozy sweater?! I’m not kidding when I say it’s one of the softest sweaters I own. Plus, it’s not too heavy so it’s perfect for layering under denim jackets or to wear on days that aren’t too cold.
Something else I’m thankful for? My boyfriend of (almost) 8 years. He is awesome, we have had so much fun together, and I love the fact that we have grown into adults together. He’s my favorite partner in life!
I’m also grateful for: my education, the opportunities I’ve had blogging & starting Golden Coast Jewelry, all of the lovely ladies I’ve met through blogging, my pups (of course), and all of my awesome readers.
What are you thankful for this year (or every year)? Let me know in the comments below. Have an amazing Thanksgiving!
