Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your week is going fantastically. While mine has been filled with stress, finals, and busy-ness all around, I have had the chance to take a small break and create some of these super fun, super easy DIY snowman marshmallows. Every year for as long as I can remember, my family and I celebrated decorating our Christmas tree with a cup of hot cocoa and Christmas music… so, when I saw a photo on Instagram (see photo here) of similar marshmallows sold at William Sonoma, I knew I had to recreate it that night for our Christmas tree decorating… and I knew it would have to be easy (I was right)- so I had to share!
Purchase melting chocolate. I used Ghiradelli’s white and dark melting chocolate and just added food coloring to it, or you can use pre-colored melting chocolate (you can buy them at Michael’s in the baking section). Put the melted chocolate into piping bags or zip-locks and cut a small hole in one of the bottom corners. If the chocolate is too runny, add powdered sugar and mix. Finally, just pipe your snowman’s faces onto the marshmallows! I love the earmuffs.
The marshmallows tend to flip over when you put them into the cocoa. I used kitchen scissors to cut them in half, and they stayed up-right after cutting… plus, that’s double the snowmen!
Let me know if you try this out! Happy Holidays!!
