My Daily Essential Oils Routine

Daily Essential Oils Routine

I thought it would be fun to share a quick post with you guys all about my every day life with essential oils. I am the type of person who loves these kinds of posts! It may be that I’m nosey or that I enjoy incorporating what other’s are loving into my own routine. Either way, take a glimpse into my daily routine using essential oils below. Enjoy!

6am I try really hard to wake up early nowadays because I like to have some quiet time to myself while the sun is rising. Typically, I will wash my face with my homemade face wash which includes frankincense, lavender, lemon, and tea tree oils. After my face is washed, I’ll use a moisturizer or argan oil along with copaiba essential oil to de-puff. Then I’ll use my thieves toothpaste & mouthwash to freshen my breath. Once I’m freshened up and have a little more pep to my step, I’ll fill my diffuser and start my coffee… my favorite part of the morning. In the mornings, I’m more likely to grab a citrus oil to brighten the mood and wake me up even more. I love grapefruit or lime with spearmint.

8am By 8am I am typically on the couch watching the news, finishing up my coffee, and catching up on any oily news in my Young Living groups on Facebook. I’ll surf my virtual office and check on my team. It’s my favorite part of my work day.

9am By 9:30am I have to leave for work, so by now I am starting to get ready to leave. After getting dressed, I’ll put on my oils for the day. I don’t go with out endoflex over my thyroid and I’ll sometimes use thieves on the bottoms of my feet for an immunity boost. If I’m struggling with allergies that day, I’ll use peppermint + lemon + lavender to get rid of those symptoms. Then, I’ll pick out a “perfume” for the day. Usually, I’ll go for a grounding oil, fruity oil, or a floral oil. I have been loving valor, peace and calming, or envision.

2pm By 2pm I usually am just finishing up lunch at work. It’s at this point in the day that my energy is gone and I’ll reapply my “perfume” or a citrus oil like citrus fresh to wake me up a bit. On hot days, I like to use peppermint on the back of my neck to cool off, too. It can get warm in the office!

6pm Around 6 or 7pm I’m on my way home from work. If you’re familiar with California, you know how bad traffic can get and you probably also know how frustrating it is to sit for an hour on the roads before you’re close to home. Recently, I picked up the Orb diffuser because it fits perfectly in a cars cupholder. So I’ll diffuse stress away for my ride home and turn on my current audiobook.

7pm If I didn’t shower that morning, I will shower at night. I have been using Young Living’s bar soaps and they are amazing! Right now I’m using the valor bar soap. After the shower, I’ll use my mermaid hair spray to promote hair growth and health. It’s a blend of water, witch hazel, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood and it’s awesome! Once I’m out, I’ll mix cypress essential oil with a body oil and moisturize with that. Cypress oil helps with circulation and can aid in getting rid of & preventing spider veins.

9pm By 9 or 10pm, I’m ready for bed. My favorite part of the night is filling my diffuser. I love coming up with new sleepy blends. I’ll always use cedarwood and mix it with either lavender, peace and calming, peace and calming 2, pine, cypress, or northern lights black spruce. Sometimes I’ll diffuse raven if I’m congested. Again, I’ll wash my face with my homemade face wash and use some oils neat on my skin. At night I always use frankincense, lemon, lavender, and tea tree but sometimes will add in gentle baby, valor (for the blue tansy), or cedarwood. I’ll even go as far as making a foot rub with coconut oil or lotion and cedar wood to rub our feet with. It knocks us right out! Zzz.

I love using essential oils, especially when it’s time for bed. They help me sleep a lot better.
