Hey pretty ladies! Welcome back, thanks for stopping by 🙂 . I think this may be my favorite outfit I have shared so far (I apologize if I say that about every outfit) lol. But, really… how amazing are these jeans?! I love them so so much. They may be my new favorite pair I own. They are perfect for spring and will be so much fun to style.

Embroidery is a huge trend for spring 2017. It’s honestly one of the best of the season, in my opinion. It’s so easy to incorporate into anything, really. I love it on shoes and handbags. But, on jeans? It’s so unique and different. But, embroidery can be a bit tricky to style because it’s technically a pattern, right? So, what does it pair well with? It’s unlike other patterns so there are a few different “rules” to follow. So, tip number 1: florals typically don’t pair well with embroidery. Because embroidered patterns are 90% of the time florals… they usually don’t pair well with other floral patterns. They do, however, pair well with patterns like stripes (like I did here with this top), gingham, or polka dots. Basically, more geometric patterns. The contrast between the two is spot on and they balance each other out perfectly. Tip number 2: pair a complimentary color with the embroidery / Pair the embroidery with a neutral. To make the embroidery really pop, pair it with a complimentary color or with a neutral (it depends on the embroidery). Let me explain… if the majority of the embroidery is blue, pair it with an orange or yellow to make the embroidery really pop. Wearing complimentary colors is really fresh and modern. But, if the embroidery is many colors, pair it with a neutral like a camel, white or black… even denim or blush, powder blue, olive or grey. Basically, any color that won’t overpower the focal point of the outfit, the embroidery. You always want just one (m a y b e  two) focal point(s) in an outfit and have the rest of your outfit be complimentary to the one focal point. Tip number 3: Don’t mix embroidery. One embroidered piece is enough. You don’t want to go overboard and be a walking quilt. A pop of embroidery will do! My favorite spots for embroidery are on shoes, because they spice up an outfit just enough and can be paired with so many different outfits. They are so versatile. A pair of embroidered slip on loafers is definitely in my future… I can feel it 😉 .
