"Embroidery usually brings up thoughts of stuffy tapestry or grandma's hand-made knick-knacks, but spring's red carpet is shining a decidedly more stylish light on the stitching technique. Lately, celebs are taking a cue from the runway and swapping spring's expected floral prints for lavish embroidered patterns." -TotalBeauty.com
Welcome back and happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing a look that is seriously the grown up version of your favorite outfit at age 5. But, that’s cool, right? Raise your hand if you owned a romper just like this one way back when! Okay… you probably were to young to remember, but I’m sure you did. Not to mention, these Sandals by Steve Madden are literally the updated version of the most popular children’s sandal, like, ever. They are seriously the adult version of the strap-y sandals every 90’s kid owned. They make the perfect pair for the romper, I think. With that said, this outfit is so comfortable… and so cute. Unfortunately, my exact romper is no longer available. It was on sale and I believe sold out. But, I linked a romper with a very similar fit above!
Pairing a romper like this, that has minimal to no shape, with a jacket, is so good. It gives the look a bit more structure and keeps you from looking un-put-together or pajama-ish. Plus, having embroidery on your jacket not only steps the look up, but is super trendy. It adds another level of texture and detail and keeps your look modern. You can find embroidered jackets almost everywhere now. I have seen a lot from Forever 21 and some of my favorites come from Express (per usual). You can even find bombers and leather jackets with embroidered detail… so cute and so cool girl. Shop some of my favorite embroidered jackets for this spring below!
