I am so excited to bring this super easy recipe to you! I don’t know about you, but I love pumpkin spice, well, everything… including coffee! My favorite pumpkin spice coffees come from Starbucks and Coffee Bean, but I hate spending a good $5 on a coffee everyday. I came up with this super easy DIY for pumpkin spice creamer at home! You’ll love how easy this is to make and how yummy it is in your morning coffee. I can’t get enough!
So you’ll want to mix brown sugar and half and half together, which will turn into something that looks similar to chocolate milk. Honestly, this by itself is yummy… yes, I licked the spoon.
The stars of this recipe… pumpkin & pumpkin pie spice!! Oh, how lovely. This recipe is really customizable, feel free to add as much or as little pumpkin and spice to your mixture as you want. Personally, I added about four heaping scoops of pumpkin puree and about a teaspoon of spice (I eye-balled). Once it is mixed well, you can run it through a fine strainer or cheese cloth. I originally skipped this step, but ended up having the larger pieces of spice/ pumpkin puree that didn’t incorporate well settling at the bottom of the coffee. It’s not a big deal, but if you’d rather not have that issue just strain it before using!
And, here it is! Mmmm. Just look at that swirl of pumpkin spice goodness. My next experiment will be to add a shot or two of espresso to this cream and froth it up. Pumpkin spice latte anyone??
